Epic Fail of the Day

Here is an alert I got just a few minutes ago that made me chuckle.

To whoever tried to hack my “administrador” account: Brute forcing for a password won’t work unless you know how to spell “administrator”.  Once you learn to spell, also learn that linux servers doesn’t have an “administrator” account to begin with. :)

That looks kind of like a Spanish spelling (probably not though). Maybe a gang of disgruntled Hondurans are trying to crack your server…

Hey, what is the name of the textarea editor you have for the comments here? I’m been looking for a really simple one, but haven’t found one I like yet. The one you’re using looks pretty good.

Hi Matt, I don’t know of any reason why anybody would target me specifically, so I’m assuming it’s a bot just hitting random IPs.  Still, they are wasting their time if they can’t spell.  I also have had FTP brute force attacks on most of my servers including my home server.  They, to are all Linux boxes and they all try to hack the administrator account (usually spelled correctly at least) :) .

I am using TimeMCEComments for the comment text area.  I like it because it only provided the few formatting options needed for comments and easy to setup.
